Dear visitor, this translation is made by myself; my language is italian, so I think you will find out a lot of errors in the text.
Please be so kind to email me the errors you’ll find.
Thank you by Alex
Rome was born more than two thousand years ago, and till today an impressive amount of books, photo, films, was published, regarding quite every aspect of its life.
Moreover on Internet you can find all info you need about hotels, B&B, restaurants, cinemas, tons of photos and so on.
This site is not similar to all others: here you can find panoramic photos not only related to all the marvelous things we have here, but also about problems, rubbish, traffic, hobos, and other bad aspects.
All the photos are shot by simple and cheap digital cameras (see la tecnica ) and afterwards stuck togheter by a free software ( I strongly support the OpenSource software).
In the left column MENU there are three links:
- Panoramic pictures: pictures made by stitching toghether several photos to creata a panoramic image
- Normal pictures: normal photos organized in the same way as the panoramic, aiming to give a more complete representation of the monument/site
- Mosaic pictures: not yet used; I have used Panoramic pictures to host also more complex pictures
To avoid a slow downloading due to the big dimensions I have dramatically reduced the picture size; the maximum horizontal resolution is 1000 px.
Please contact me if you would like to have higher resolutin pictures.
All the published material is strictly self produced, no photos shot by other authors or downloaded by Internet are published.
